CRKN employs a diverse team of librarians, developers, technicians, and other professionals to meet the evolving needs of its member community.
Prior to joining CRKN, Clare worked as Director, Sales and Strategic Support at Ingram, Coutts Information Services. She holds a BA and continues her education at York University.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Ken joined CRKN in 2009 and since 2011, has served on the management team. He holds a BCom (University of Alberta) and an MBA (Queens University), and is a member of CPA Ontario.
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Rebecca has over ten years of marketing and communications experience, focused on academic publishing. She holds a BA, a Master of Information Studies and a Diploma in Publishing.
MANAGER, DIGITIZATION AND HERITAGE COLLECTIONS
Beth joined Canadiana in 1988. Beth has an Honours BA in history and sociology, and a Master of Library and Information Science.
Amanda holds a BA from Carleton University and a Library Technician diploma. She has broad academic experience gained from nearly 5 years of working in different capacities at uOttawa.
Craig Joined the CRKN team in 2011. Craig has a BA in English and History and a Master of Library and Information studies, both from Dalhousie University
LEAD APPLICATION DEVELOPER
Sascha joined Canadiana in 2011. Sascha holds a BSc in Computer Science from Cornell University, and has over ten years of software development experience.
LEAD SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Russell became active in the free software movement in 1992 and regularly submits to government consultations on copyright, telecommunications and other technology law.
Project Manager – Canadiana Platform
Before joining CRKN in 2019, William worked with Canadiana as Interim Executive Director and Chief Information Officer. He holds an Honours BA and an MLIS.
DIGITIZATION TECHNICAL LEAD
John is a graduate of the Algonquin College School of Media & Design's Photography program. He brings extensive public and private sector technical experience to the CRKN team.
DIGITIZATION SERVICES LEAD
Lucie has been contributing to Canadiana’s products and services for 37 years. In addition to her vast work experience, Lucie has taken a number of finance courses at Algonquin College.
Document Scanner Operator
Rebecca is a graduate of the Photography Program at Algonquin College. She has several years of experience working in imaging and photography.
FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR AND EVENT COORDINATOR
Nazia holds a Business Administration Diploma, and a Brevet de Technicien Supérieur from the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Prior to joining Canadiana, Mariette worked in the private sector and was responsible for payroll and human resources. Mariette has a diploma in accounting and invoicing.
Ryan is a CPA candidate and graduate of the University of Toronto. He worked previously in Deloitte Canada's Ottawa audit practice.
Member and Metadata Services
Patricia is a graduate of the Library Technician program at Algonquin College. She has worked for Canadiana for over 30 years.
Manager, Member and Metadata Services
Jason has member experience as an Electronic Resources Technician at University of Ottawa. He holds a BA, a Master of Information Studies, and an MA in History.
Heritage Collections Officer
MacKenzie has a BA in History (University of Ottawa), a MA in History (York University), and a Master of Information (University of Toronto).
Member Services & Licensing Officer
Émilie has a MLitt (Glas) and a PgDip (Leic), and has experience in member services and heritage, having worked at both Historic Environment Scotland and Parks Canada.
Francesca holds an MA in Public History from Carleton University. She joined CRKN in 2019 and has a background in research and outreach for digital heritage projects.
