Strategic Planning 2019-2024
Strategic planning 2019-2024 is underway at CRKN. Building on the accomplishments of our 2016-2018 Strategic Plan, CRKN is looking to the future with eager anticipation as we update our mission and vision and develop priorities over the next five years.
As always our strategic direction is driven by our members. Understanding the interwoven complexities of the scholarly communication and research landscape of Canada, we are also looking to our community of stakeholders, like-minded organizations, and end users of our content and services to connect and engage throughout this process. This broadening of our consultations represents the broadening of our organization, most notably with the 2018 merger with Canadiana. The opportunities available to CRKN, as a merged organization with Canadiana, will continue to be realized through their inclusion in our 2019-2024 strategic plan.
We want to hear from you! Email us today to learn more about our consultation opportunities and to share your perspective. Anyone involved in digital scholarship is invited to get involved. In addition to collection librarians, we are interested in hearing from archivists, digital humanities researchers, and the users of Canadiana content and services.
Share your vision of CRKN or ideas by using hashtag: #CRKN_RCDR2024 at any time throughout this process.
Understanding the ongoing and developing needs of our membership is the foundation of this strategic planning process. To get started, we are hosting a number of member consultations. Members are invited to sign-up for a consultation by logging in to the members only section of the website. For more information, please contact Rebecca Ross at email@example.com.
Partners, collaborators, archivists, funders, like-minded organizations, innovators, researchers, administrators, data specialists: we want to hear from you!
In this interconnected world, we know we can accomplish more together, working toward shared goals. What role is CRKN best positioned to undertake? How can CRKN support your organizations now and in the future? What goals are we working toward and what will success look like for all of us in 2024?
Stakeholder Opportunities for Engagement
Join us in Vancouver for a Joint NHDS and CRKN Workshop on Digital Heritage on October 16, 2018. This interactive workshop on the opportunities and future direction of discovery and digitization in Canada is an ideal opportunity to connect on the future and provide ideas for our 2019-2024 strategic plan.
Throughout the fall we will be meeting with key stakeholders to discuss our shared goals and future opportunities. Suggest an organization or individual for a one-on-one interview.
