Denise LaFitte is an Associate University Librarian at the University of Alberta. She has long been interested in issues related to scholarly communication, and co-founded the open access journal Evidence Based Library and Information Practice in 2006. Denise is a member of CRKN's Content Strategy Committee.
Presenting at the following sessions
We are mid-way through an ambitious strategic plan, in which transforming scholarly communications is at the core. As we consider our progress over these last three years in advancing open scholarship and prioritizing cost reductions with commercial vendors, during this workshop we will review the principles that guide licensing decisions, collectively brainstorm approaches that advance open scholarship in Canada, explore the potential of a collective investment strategy, and more. This workshop will include breaks, including a break for lunch.
