The CRKN Conference Planning Committee has extended the deadline for this year's conference call for proposals until Tuesday, July 12 at 5:00 p.m. ET. CRKN’s Knowledge Base Entitlements Sub-Committee (KBESC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Perpetual Access Rights Tracking Project. This project allows CRKN members to access an accurate and verified report of their perpetual access rights to journals they have paid for via CRKN licenses. With the tools provided through the project, member libraries can better understand their perpetual access rights as they undertake collections management activities.
The CRKN Researcher Council (Council) provides advice and recommendations to the CRKN Board of Directors as CRKN prepares large scale, multidisciplinary funding applications (e.g., a CFI innovation Fund application) that will support a world-class research platform that enables transformational research and discovery of cultural and heritage content.
CRKN’s Content Strategy Committee (CSC) is pleased to share its Assessment Guidelines for Open Access (OA) Publishers. These guidelines outline criteria for the financial sustainability, academic quality, and operational practices under which open access models and resources proposed by vendors and publishers will be assessed.
The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) Conference Planning Committee is pleased to announce a call for proposals for the virtual component of the 2022 CRKN Conference, which will be held from October 3 to 7, 2022. (Click here for more information on this year’s hybrid conference schedule.)
