The Content Strategy Committee met via teleconference on January 21, 2019. The CSC discussed license renewals and various other projects.
Attendees: Todd Mundle, Gabrielle Prefontaine, Arnald Desrochers, Tanja Harrison, Pam Jacobs, Denise Koufogiannakis, Sandy Stift, Alison Ambi, Chantal St. Louis, Harriet Rykse, and Weijing Yuan.
A written management report was shared with the committee and highlights included an update on TDR Certification, signed MOU with LAC, ORCID-CA, and Board Strategic Planning session. Other highlights included an update on the recent HCAP invoicing, staffing and recent recruitments.
The Risk Register report was discussed by the CSC. The Finance & Audit Committee will review the risk register following the discussion.
Serials Management Sub-Committee
An overview of the current work of the SMSC on KBART lists was provided.
Scholarly Publication Preservation Task Group
The committee received a list of the selected candidates for the SPPTG as well as the terms of reference.
Heritage Content Priorities Task Group
The committee received a list of the selected candidates for the HCPTG as well as the terms of reference.
An update on CRKN’s open access strategy was put forward. The committee discussed the recommendations brought forward by the Board of Directors.
Journal Value Analytics
The committee discussed JVA options for Taylor & Francis and Springer Nature.
Collections Analysis Community of Practice
The CSC received an update on Communities of Practice. The update highlighted Communities of Practice as an essential CRKN strength and service.
OA Data Sub-Group
An overview of the work completed to date by the OA Data Sub-Group was shared with the committee.
2019 Member Teleconference Schedule
The committee discussed options for scheduling and planning the 2019 license renewal member teleconferences.
