The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) joins the ORCID-CA Consortium
CRKN and the ORCID-CA Consortium are pleased to welcome CARL to the ORCID Canada Consortium!
The Canadian Association of Research Libraries (CARL) provides leadership on behalf of Canada’s research libraries. The Association includes 29 major academic libraries and three federal and parliamentary libraries, and aims to foster a robust and sustainable Canadian research ecosystem.
CARL joins ORCID in support of persistent identifiers as critical infrastructure for research and scholarship, and as a means to further strengthen the visibility, interoperability, and integrity of Canadian research outputs. Through its membership in the ORCID-CA Consortium, CARL will promote awareness and adoption of ORCID across the research library community and contribute to national efforts to advance open, connected research systems.
CARL joins over 60 universities, funders, and research organizations from across Canada in ORCID-CA membership. Membership in the ORCID-CA Consortium will allow CARL to benefit from dedicated bilingual support and resources, participation in the ORCID-CA community of practice, premium Member API credentials, and much more.
