CRKN Publishes 2025–2026 Annual Report
CRKN is pleased to share our 2025–2026 Annual Report: Collaboration in Action. We are proud of the progress that we have made towards our strategic goals, and the collaborative efforts in strengthening Canada’s research ecosystem.
In the annual report you will find messages from leadership, a year in review of our programs, updates on strategic initiatives that support our strategic plan’s goals, a list of our Board of Directors and committees, and the financial statements.
Highlights from the year include:
- Coordination of Stakeholder Alignment Group, bringing together leaders from across Canada’s research ecosystem in support of CRKN’s approach to the 2026 negotiations.
- More than $4 million awarded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) to support Open Science Infrastructure for Canad(ian)a: Digital Collections of the Future and the transformation of Canadiana’s digital research infrastructure.
- Completion of the Canadiana Development Roadmap, helping chart the future of Canadiana.
- Canada’s research funding infrastructure strengthened through collaboration on persistent identifiers (PIDs), including expanded DOI registration for grants and awards and new ORCID integrations across major funding platforms.
- Launch of Knowledge Exchange, a new blog sharing insights and stories from CRKN and across Canada’s scholarly and library communities.
