Ottawa, Ontario - The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and Canadiana.org (Canadiana) are pleased to announce a merger of the two organizations, which will now be under the leadership of CRKN. The merged organization began combined operations on April 1, 2018.

CRKN is pleased to offer this quarterly financial update to members and to provide information on the 2018-19 membership fees, the foreign exchange service, invoicing results to date, and information on various administrative topics.

The Board of Directors of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Ms. Clare Appavoo as the organization’s Executive Director for a further five year term, effective January 1, 2018.

CRKN and Canadiana.org have been exploring the opportunity to combine the two organizations with a vision for a stronger support of research content for the community. CRKN members have been the majority funders of Canadiana for more than a decade ensuring that heritage content was available in digital format to serve the research community.

CRKN is pleased to offer this quarterly financial update to members providing information on CRKN's foreign exchange services, invoicing results to date and information on various administrative topics including CRKN’s anticipated invoicing schedule.

CRKN’s 2017 Annual General Meeting was held October 18-20 in Montreal, Quebec. The meetings were well attended with 94 registered members and stakeholders, plus invited guest speakers and staff. Attendees benefited from the quality of the facilities at the Marriott Château Champlain and were able to enjoy tremendous fall weather and colours.
