Canadiana: Where We Are Today
This session will focus on the launch of Canadiana 2.0 and the user-centered work shaping its development. Presenters will walk members through the evolution of the platform, including findings from the Canadiana User Task Group, closed and open beta feedback, key iterations, and the improvements being introduced through the launch. Members will have an opportunity to hear from users how these changes have directly improved their ability to work with the collections.
The session will also connect Canadiana 2.0 to broader collections work by highlighting recent collection development and metadata updates, the 2026 Call for Member Digitization Projects, and user stories that demonstrate how the renewed platform supports discovery, access, and research across Canada’s documentary heritage community. Members will leave with a clearer understanding of what has changed, how community feedback has informed the work, and how they can participate in the next phase of Canadiana’s development.
