CRKN is pleased to announce that the 2019 Journal Value Analytics (JVA) tool has been launched for members. Compiled annually, the JVA tool combines pricing, subject, and usage data to evaluate CRKN-licensed journal packages and provides a broad perspective of member collections at the title level. This year’s JVA tool includes the two major CRKN journal licenses currently up for renewal: Springer and Taylor & Francis.

CRKN is pleased to announce its membership in the Fédération des milieux documentaires (FMD). Through this membership, CRKN will expand its collaboration with FMD members to advance contributions to the Francophone library and information science field and create new opportunities for knowledge exchange.

As of August 12, 2019, the Early Canadiana Online (ECO) portal will be integrated with Canadiana Online to create a single access portal for historical publications available through Canadiana. Combining ECO and Canadiana Online will improve the user experience of the Canadiana website and facilitate future developments.

The CRKN Board of Directors is delighted to announce that Capilano University will become the first Associate Member of CRKN. By becoming an Associate Member, Capilano University will have the opportunity to take part in CRKN’s commercial content licensing program to enrich scholarship and resources for students, faculty, and researchers. In addition, Capilano University will participate in knowledge sharing and other CRKN projects and initiatives to expand research capacity on campus.
