Chantel Ridsdale is the Research Data Management (RDM) Team Lead at Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) since 2023, promoted from Data Steward. She gained her MLIS from Dalhousie University in 2016 and has been heavily involved in national and international RDM groups for nearly 10 years. She is passionate about moving RDM best practices and standards forward within Canada and ONC, and building a solid data foundation for quality information and knowledge to be derived. She has been integral in the implementation of dynamic data citations in ONC’s data portal, Oceans 3.0, and advocating for improvements for users.
