Sherry Kuang (she/her) is a master’s student of Information Studies at the University of Ottawa and a member of the Scholarly Communications Lab. Before joining uOttawa, she completed her bachelor’s in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Waterloo, gaining experience in the field of optics research and skills in science communication. In the context of her Master’s thesis, Sherry is currently exploring open access fees beyond article processing charges, including rapid service fees for accelerated peer review and fees for zero-embargo green OA.
