The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) along with the Canadiana Content Sub-Committee (CCSC) and the Preservation and Access Committee (PAC) are delighted to announce the inaugural call to the CRKN membership for Canadiana collection development projects.
CRKN Signs Read and Publish Agreement with Elsevier
The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to announce that we have signed a new three-year, read and publish agreement with Elsevier. As part of CRKN’s commitment to transform access to research, this agreement repurposes funds that CRKN members have traditionally paid in subscription fees for Elsevier journals, to cover open access publishing and full reading access for those same journals.
CRKN Completes Phase II of the Indigenous Subject Headings Project
The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) has completed the second phase of the Indigenous Subject Headings project. This project is part of our ongoing efforts to update the Canadiana collections and infrastructure with community-supported improvements, and will result in a better experience for researchers seeking content in Canadiana by and about Indigenous communities.

Deadline Extended: 2024 CRKN Conference Call for Proposals
The deadline for the 2024 CRKN Virtual Conference call for proposals has been extended until Thursday, January 25 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
The Virtual Conference will be held from May 22-24, 2024 online.
