Infrastructure Budget Task Group
The objective of the Infrastructure Budget Task Group (IBTG) is to develop a budget to support innovation of the infrastructure and evolution of tools and services that will be required to meet the needs of the CFI IF project, including long-term sustainable funding scenarios to support CRKN's work.

Scholars Portal Journals Expansion Task Group
The Scholars Portal Journals Expansion Task Group (SP JETG) is established to guide CRKN and other stakeholders through the transition phase of the national expansion of the Scholars Portal Journals platform. The task group will develop a budget model, terms of reference for a permanent steering committee, and a service agreement with University of Toronto Libraries, all before the launch of the operational phase in 2026.

The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) and the University of Alberta Library have collaborated to add 36 volumes of the Irish University Press Series of British Parliamentary Papers to Canadiana.

CRKN Signs Read and Publish Agreement with Elsevier
The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) is pleased to announce that we have signed a new three-year, read and publish agreement with Elsevier. As part of CRKN’s commitment to transform access to research, this agreement repurposes funds that CRKN members have traditionally paid in subscription fees for Elsevier journals, to cover open access publishing and full reading access for those same journals.
