DeDe Dawson is Open Scholarship Librarian at the University Library, University of Saskatchewan. In this role, she provides support for USask authors in many scholarly communications topics and leads much of the library’s education and advocacy work related to open scholarship. DeDe is currently working to develop the library’s nascent diamond open access journal hosting service and collaborates closely with collections colleagues in the quickly emerging area of open collections work. DeDe is a strong advocate of reforming scholarly publishing to a more sustainable, open, and equitable system.
