Yoo Young Lee is the Head of Metadata and Cataloguing at the University of Ottawa Library, where she leads the transformation of metadata practices through innovative technologies like machine learning. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to leveraging emerging tools to connect users with essential resources for teaching, learning, and research. Beyond her institutional role, she serves as Chair of the DataCite Canada Governing Committee and is a member of the OCUL Collaborative Futures Metadata Management and Standards Subcommittee. Her research examines the implementation and impact of technology within the realm of teaching, learning and research.
