CRKN and CARL Support the University of California in Taking a Bold Stand for Openly Available Research
Last week, the University of California, whose ten campuses comprise one of the largest research institutions in the world, decided not to renew its subscription with Elsevier. This monumental decision follows other initiatives in Europe, Asia and elsewhere that likewise aim to expand open access options and prevent unsustainable cost increases to journal subscription packages.
New Release of Canadiana Online MARC Records Available
CRKN is pleased to announce a new release of MARC records for the Canadiana Online collections.
Canadiana Online MARC Records Now Available
CRKN is pleased to release 75,497 MARC records for the Canadiana Online collection. MARC records are now available for 85% of the monographs currently in the Canadiana Online collection. Early in 2019, MARC records for the remaining Canadiana Online monographs, as well as for periodicals, government publications, and newspapers in the collection will also be available.
